Chanel Rouge Allure 91 Seduisante Review and Swatches

Can you believe this is my first and only Chanel lipstick? I know, it's unbelievable that a high-end lipstick hoarder like I am has only one Chanel lipstick! The question is: is it as good as everyone says?

I have to admit I don't know much about Chanel lipsticks, I have heard many people rave about Chanel Boy but I've got very pigmented lips and it really didn't shop up on me much. I had the chance to get a makeover by the Chanel International Makeup Artist which you can read about and see the results.
I asked him to suggest me a lipstick and this is the one he chose for me!

Packaging

There's no doubt that Chanel has some of the most beautiful packaging around. It's sophisticated, chic and will suit any woman.
There is something special about taking out that shiny black case, pressing the Chanel symbol to reveal a beautiful golden bullet with the embossed lipstick. It's stunning.

Shade and Finish

#91 Séduisante is a beautiful medium pink with slight warm undertones. It's a lovely pink lipstick which isn't too "out there" and will suit many people because of the slight warm undertones.
This shade belongs to the Rouge Allure Luminous Intense line. It's a luminous and creamy finish on the lips, making your lips look plumped and juicy. It has a shine without being overly glossy, I think it's just perfect.

Formula

The main problem I face when choosing the lipstick is the formula. I have tonnes of lipsticks sitting in my vanity that aren't used because of the formula.
I have to admit I thought this one wouldn't work because many light shades show my dry flakey lips.  Amazingly enough the formula of this lipstick is incredibly creamy and moisturizing.
You get a wonderful feeling wearing this, and although it won't last you through a meal you get a very long lasting feeling of hydration.
Price
Chanel isn't a cheap brand, apart from being a high end beauty line there's an element of luxury attached to it, so the price will also be higher due to this. But is the lipstick worth its price?
The lipstick costs £26 and you get 3.5 g of product which is the average amount.

I think it's worth every penny because the formula is spot on, the colour is almost universally flattering and you get the feeling of luxury that comes with Chanel.

Overall

I'm truly in love with this lipstick and I've worn it many times. It's the perfect lipstick all year round as it's a medium pink which is luminous but not overpowering and it's so comfortable to wear that you'll want to use it all the time!

I really want to try the other finishes in the Chanel line, if I do I will be sure to tell you all about it!
Have you got a favourite Chanel lipstick?
