Topshop Freedom Advent Calendar

Wednesday, November 12, 2014

You can never have too many bangles, and I actually don't really have that much jewellery. So that is how I justified purchasing this year's Freedom jewellery advent calendar from Topshop. I will warn you already though, I will be showing the contents so don't slide to the last photo if you don't want to know what's inside!

I was really excited for this calendar to arrive from Topshop. I thought a jewellery advent calendar was a great idea and at 32 euros it seemed like an interesting purchase. Unfortunately I was a bit underwhelmed with the packaging. The plastic protective casing was extremely scratched and the calendar itself seems a little cheap. The most worrying thing however was that it sounded like the jewellery was loose inside.

I opened it to take photos and just as I suspected some of the jewellery was loose. About half of the pieces were the wrong way round or not as they should be, but I quickly put them in their place. It's important to take it into account if you're thinking of giving this to someone and I would suggest you place the jewellery in the right place so they actually get something when they open each window.

Other than that I am very pleased with this lovely little advent calendar. There is a nice combination of golden and silver coloured earrings, collars and bracelets and all the jewellery is dainty and very sweet. I don't think there are any I won't use and you really can't go wrong giving this to a loved one. You must take into account they are made of mixed metal but for that price it's a large amount of jewellery to enjoy.

You can pick this advent calendar up in Topshop and they also have another one for the same price that I hadn't heard of:

I really like the idea of wearing one each day until Christmas and I can't wait to start opening it in December!!

Now for the contents, don't scroll any further if you want to keep it as a surprise!
