February Makeup and Beauty Favourites

Monday, March 06, 2017

I really wanted to share with you my latest makeup and beauty favourites because I've got some lovely new products to show you! Here are my most used beauty products of the previous month!

I religiously show my monthly favourites over on my Youtube channel but I often forget to show you here on the blog! Today I'll make sure to talk you through why these products were my favourite last month:
Last year I had the chance to get to know this wonderful skincare brand and I was pleasantly surprised by their sunscreen range. You can read about them in this post: Frezyderm has got me covered.

Over the winter I've been using this sunscreen almost daily. This one provides SPF30+ but is available with higher protection. The special thing about this sunscreen is that it also works as a face primer, providing a mattifying velvety finish to the skin. It works perfectly under makeup and combination to oily skins will love this versatile product.
As I have oily eyelids I need to use an eyeshadow primer daily, without fail. I have tried others in the past such as the Urban Decay Primer Potion and the NARS Pro Prime Smudgeproof Eyeshadow base you can read about here: NARS Eyeshadow Primer Review.

This one by Too Faced is the cheapest of the three and I have to say that it does the job well. At the end of the day if you're just looking for a primer which will prevent creasing the Too Faced Shadow Insurance will do its job well.
I've heard it can separate if you don't use it daily and the other primers enhance the eyeshadows which this one doesn't, but it does what it says on the tin.

I don't use proper foundation everyday, I like to wear a BB cream or CC cream for those days I don't want massive coverage but I want a nicer complexion.

This CC Cream is definitely a luxurious product. By Terry is an expensive brand and with this CC Cream you get decent coverage, hydration and it also has a radiant finish so the skin looks fresh and youthful.
Today I wanted to highlight this beautiful eyeshadow quad by Charlotte Tilbury. It sold out quickly individually but is still available as part of a set which I reviewed here: Dreamy Look in a Clutch review and swatches.

It is a combination of four lovely gold and rose-gold eyeshadows. They have a satin or shimmery finish and one of them is a special glitter shade to use with your finger. I have been loving this quad because these warm shades are perfect to use daily, individually or in combination.
They're easy to use, blend well and don't look over the top!
Liquid lipsticks are very much in fashion nowadays, almost every single makeup brand has their take on this product, and here we have a velvet matte version by Giorgio Armani.

This one I have here was a free sample and I'm smitten with it. It's a lovely red and the formulation is comfortable and flattering on the lips. It isn't completely budge proof but it's very long wearing and it's easy to top up, I'd recommend you give them a go!
Make sure you watch my Youtube video showcasing these products, I've used them all on my look so you can see what they're like on my skin.
The video also features a fashion fave for February, so stick to the end to see what it is!
