MAC Holiday Collection Haul and NARS Audacious

Wednesday, December 16, 2015

I can't believe I have another haul to show you so close to the previous one! The last one was more skincare related but this time it's mostly makeup which you all know I find extremely exciting. Let me show you what I've got...
I absolutely love to try out new makeup products and I have quite a few new formulas that will be featured in reviews once I've had the chance to try them out a little longer. I also have a haul video showing these products in detail, so make sure to watch the video at the end of the post.
MAC Ascent of Glamour Colourdrenched Pigment
This is definitely the star product of the entire haul: it's the most impressive pressed pigment I've ever had the chance to try! I love pigments but they are messy to use so this pressed version is much more convenient and it's almost like an eyeshadow.
The colour my mum picked up for me is Ascent of Glamour, an amazing purple base with blue and aquamarine shimmer, so on the lids it looks more purple or blue depending on the light. It's lovely to work with and I can't get enough of it!
MAC Black Swan Pearlglide Eye Liner
I have quite a lot of pencil eye liners, but I'm really glad that my mum bought this new one by MAC. It's called Black Swan and as the name suggests it's a black liner, but it also has blue sparkle which is really lovely.
But the best is that it really is creamy and glides over the lids effortlessly. It can smudge a little but it's very pigmented and easy to work with.
NARS Brigitte Audacious Lipstick
This formulation by NARS is absolutely spot on, at least for my lips. They're quite pricey but so pigmented and creamy, truly amazing. They have an incredibly wide choice of colours and although they're supposed to be matte they have more of a satin finish and they don't feel drying on the lips.
Brigitte is a lovely coral nude colour, it brightens the face but doesn't look too powerful, I love it on my warm skin tone.
NARS Audacious Mascara
I got this mascara sample with the purchase of the lipstick, so it was a great chance to try it out. The first time I tried it out I think I almost poked my eyes out.
I had read Stacey's review of this mascara and I'm afraid I have to agree that it isn't a nice mascara to use. The wand is really spiky and hard so you have to use it carefully!
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
I had run out of eyeshadow primer so I added it to my Christmas list. I put all the different makes I knew on the list but my mum suddenly appeared with the Too Faced primer!
I still haven't tried it yet but it's one of the cheaper ones so I can't wait to try it out.
IKEA Tea Lights
My mum also bought me these two glass candle holders and a few lovely tea lights. I love candles and they'll be perfect for Christmas.
Topshop Shaggy Faux Fur Gilet
There is also a fashion item in this haul, but I had already shown it to you in this winter outfit of the day.
I really love Topshop's faux fur coats and jackets, they seem really well made and look posh and pricey. I love a good faux fur jacket as it makes an outfit look classier!

Make sure you watch my haul video so that you can see all the products close up and swatches of the makeup! I'd love it if you left a comment so that I know you come from here!
Have you bought anything from any of the makeup Christmas collections? Which was your favourite?
