Caudalie Beauty Elixir : A Real Must-Have

Friday, May 13, 2016

This is one of those products you think can't really work, it sounds mystical, seems to promise too much for just a mist and yet I really got hooked to this Beauty Elixir!

Caudalie has a mist inspired by the "elixir of youth" which was used by the Queen of Hungary. This is infused with grape-seed extract and in theory you can use it as a toner, refresher and to set makeup. It sounds a little too magical but I really wanted to give it a go, sometimes I like to do that with products that promise too much: prove them wrong in a way!

Packaging
The Beauty Elixir comes in a lovely glass bottle. It's clear and is beautifully decorated and it sprays a very fine mist.

Use
You can use it before applying skincare like a toner, you can also spritz it on your clean face before makeup, to tighten pores and you can even spray it over your face during the day to brighten up your makeup and add a glow.
I have found that if I get the chance I will happily spritz away. I love the way it makes my face look a little dewy and bright and even though it won't make your makeup last longer it will make it look less powdery, I love that!

Effect
It smells like a mix of mint and herbs, it's really relaxing and invigorating at the same time. The best is that it really does seem to brighten the face and makes it look a little less dull.
Unfortunately it does contain alcohol and mint can be irritating for sensitive skin, so if you have dry and irritated skin it might not be the best product.

Thankfully it seems to work wonders on my skin and I easily got hooked to the fragrance and happy look to my skin!

Price and Overall
It can seem a little pricey and Caudalie offers a cheaper mist which is grape water. I really want to buy it to see if it compares at all to the Beauty Elixir or not.

You can buy it in several sizes, even the small one will last you quite a while so I recommend you try it out and tell me what you think!

Have you tried any face mists?
