Frezyderm Lip Balm Review

Thursday, July 06, 2017

I haven't had much time lately, with the sunny weather we're spending more time outside with Astrid, and she's so lively it's hard to sit down in front of the computer to write a post. As I was sitting at a sunny terrace I remembered this great lip balm.

We often forget to protect our lips from the sun, my husband burnt his a little the other day and was shocked when I said he should've used sunscreen on them. His general thought was that lips are "used to the sun", unfortunately harmful UV rays will cause premature aging and other damage.

Packaging
Not much to say really, the lip balm is housed in a squeeze tube, keeping the product protected and away from our dirty fingers. You can also share it easily this way without feeling weirded out.

The tube is small enough to take in your handbag so you can always be protected! The styling is simple but clear, it does it's job of informing us of the benefits of this sun screen lip balm.
Formulation and Use
This sunscreen lip balm provides SPF50+ which is really high. Not only that, it also hydrates and repairs thanks to the coconut oil, shea butter, cupuacu and hesperidin. It doesn't contain parabens or other nasties and is water resistant

It is a great balm to use not only in summer for the sun but also in winter if you do snow sports. You can reapply as many times as you like, but it is recommended you apply it 15 minutes before sun exposure.

Finish and Effect
It is a glossy balm which is easy to apply and comfortable to wear. It is salmony-coloured but doesn't colour your lips, you mustn't apply too much though, or you can get a white cast on your lips until it dries out.

It's light in texture and doesn't feel sticky on the lips, it leaves them feeling juicy and hydrated. Incredibly enough it smells of biscuits, which I find sweet but some people might not like the fragrance.
Overall
If you're looking for a powerful sunscreen for your lips look no further, the Frezyderm Very High Protection Lip Balm provides SPF50+ with a hydrating formula at a very competitive price. For £6.50 you get 15 ml!

Do you use a lip balm with sunscreen?
