Jouer Lip Creme Review and Swatches : Dulce de Leche , Praline , Citronnade Rose and Petale de Rose

I love the concept of liquid lipsticks: they're pigmented and long lasting, the best of both worlds! But not all liquid lipsticks are a good formula or finish. Let me show you one of the best ones...Jouer Lip creme!

Jouer is a brand I really love because they always deliver high quality, good for your skin and naturally flattering makeup. When I heard they were releasing a line of liquid lipsticks I had to buy them as soon as possible!
Range
They're supposed to be long-wearing, full coverage and with a soft-touch finish and they come in a wide range of wearable colours.

There are 16 shades to choose from, there aren't any wild colours but there are some gorgeous nudes, pinks and reds. There are matte finishes but the most amazing thing is that they have shades with a metallic finish!
This is perhaps what excited me the most as they were the first metallic liquid lipsticks on the market!
Formula
As soon as you apply the creme it feels like a soft whipped mousse. The texture is smooth and it's easy to apply on the lips as it glides well.
It doesn't dry too quickly so you have time to apply the liquid lipstick carefully and the doe foot also makes it easier to be precise.
All the colours are full coverage and incredibly pigmented, covering your lip colour in one swipe. They're very lightweight and as soon as they dry down you almost forget you're wearing anything.

Lasting Power and Comfort
When I use a liquid lipstick these are the two most important points as you can't really top it up or it'll look cakey.
I'm very happy to say that the Jouer lip cremes are possibly the most comfortable liquid lipsticks I've tried: they don't feel tacky on the lips, they dry down and feel comfortable. They aren't moisturizing but they don't dry out your lips either. The best is that they don't crack as the day goes on.
They're completely transfer-proof and last about 8-9 hours, depending on what you eat. When you eat something oily they fade quite evenly which is also good.

I decided to go for two matte lip cremes and two metallic ones, like that I could try a varied selection. I went for wearable colours as I wanted to give a couple to my mum if she liked them. I have to say she loved them so much that she kept the four!
Dulce de Leche
This is a matte cool nude, not too light but the lightest of the shades I decided to buy. As you can see it's full coverage and is a beautiful pinky nude.
Petale de Rose
This is another cool shade, but it's a darker deep rose. This is a universally flattering shade and one of the favourites.
Citronnade Rose
This is described as a metallic ballet pink. It's also cool toned and I worried that this one would look too Barbie on me as I'm quite warm toned, but all Jouer colours are wearable.
Praline
This is another metallic shade, it's a cool bronzed pink, the sheen is distinctly bronze and I think it's the most flattering of the metallic shades.
Overall
I really suggest you give these liquid lipsticks a try, they're well priced at £14 and you can pick them up at Cult Beauty. The shades are flattering and natural and I'm sure you'll find a couple of colours you'll love and wear daily!
As for the metallic shades, they aren't everyone's cup of tea but they can be used to highlight the centre of the lips and I think shiny lips are coming back style!
Would you try a metallic shade?
