Outfit of the Day for International Show Jumping Competition Casas Novas

Wednesday, December 17, 2014

Every year CSI Casas Novas is one of the biggest events in the show jumping world and it marks the beginning of Christmas for me. It is organized by the founder of Zara, the multimillionaire Amancio Ortega and all the best riders and VIP attend this classy event.

Perhaps not all of you knew that I have horses and that I used to compete in show jumping. It's something I love and find exhilarating and I miss going to these competitions myself. Casas Novas is a gigantic horse club owned by Amancio Ortega, the ZARA man himself, which he made for his horse-obsessed daughter Marta.

I have often competed in this club myself and against his daughter and they're actually lovely people and very down to earth, despite being the magnates they are. I often forget I actually know the owners of ZARA, small world isn't it?

The CSI Casas Novas is held every year before Christmas and for three days they hold a show jumping competition with a ridiculous amount of prize money which attracts the best riders in the world. You can only attend with an invitation and my family is lucky enough to be invited year after year to the prestigious event. On Saturday one of the classes had combined winnings of 500.000 euros and the rider who won the class made 290.000 euros!

It's a very posh event with some of the most well-known VIPs attending and local celebrities so I always like to dress for the occasion with smart clothes. Funnily enough I wore a ZARA outfit for Sunday, not on purpose but it was a coincidence.

The black shorts by ZARA are super comfortable and incredibly flattering, which I paired with some lovely black suede court shoes. They're also from ZARA and they're incredibly comfortable as they aren't too high.

I thought a white shirt would look good with this look so I wore my new ZARA Basic white shirt buttoned up with a lace black top underneath. To finish the outfit I wore this stunning camel coat, also by ZARA and so much in fashion. It's similar to the sort that Kim Kardashian likes to wear and is very much like a dressing gown, haha. It's very stylish and looks great with dresses, skirts and shorts.

We mustn't forget my trusty Michael Kors handbag which is my all time favourite bag and just pairs with anything adding class and style.

The competition was incredibly exciting and the jump off had us at the edge of our seats! Well done to all the riders and I hope to see you again next year!
