Midnight Blue Look of the Day

Thursday, March 17, 2016

Today I thought I would share with you this lovely makeup look, between purple and blue and great for a night out!

I absolutely love the way this pressed pigment by MAC looks either purple or blue depending on the light. I swear it looks blue in these pictures but in person my fiancé insists it looks completely purple without a doubt!
This is one of the MAC Colourdrenched Pigments in the shade Ascent of Glamour, I really wish these pigments were permanent, because the formula is great and the fact that they're compact makes them much easier to use without any fallout!

I lined my eyes with one of MAC's Pearlglide Eye Liners, they really do glide on the eyes and this black shade "Black Swan" is dark and broody and smudges well for a grungy, I love it!
The mascara I've been using lately is the MAC In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash, it's quite nice when it has just been applied but it doesn't hold a curl that well unfortunately.

My Brows have been filled in with Benefit Brow Zings, I hadn't used it for quite a while and should get back to this combination of wax and powder!

As you guys know I like a light, natural base so I have used NARS Sheer Glow lightly, it's buildable and although it probably isn't the best foundation for my oily skin it has a nice glow and looks natural on my skin.
I have powdered it with Guerlain Pressed Meteorites which don't give much coverage but leave the skin looking like porcelain and the different colours balance the skin tone. I love them!
As for concealer I have been using Charlotte Tilbury's The Retoucher which is a very thin concealer, it doesn't offer much coverage but it doesn't crease which I love. Shade 1 Fair is perhaps too light for me but it brightens the undereye area.

On my cheeks I have a limited edition Dior Nude Tan Paradise Duo in Pink Glow, this brand make lovely powders and it looks nice on the skin although I use both colours swirled together for a pinky-toasted glow.

I mustn't forget to tell you about the lips: first I lined them and filled them in with Charlotte Tilbury's Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk, which is my favourite lip liner as it's creamy and long lasting and then I used this limited edition MAC Lustre Lipstick in Flair For Finery which is a very light milky nude.
Do you like this look? Do you ever wear a anything similar?
